Open registration and share the link
The Review step is the moment your event stops being a draft. Here is exactly what happens when you press the button.
The Review step
The last step of the wizard shows two things that matter: the guest page address and the current registration status. The address is where your page lives — it is worth reading it once before you publish, because it is what you will be pasting into invitations for the next several months.
Opening registration
Press Open registration. From that second, anyone with the link can register. There is no approval queue and no waiting: the page is live.
View guest page → opens the real page as a guest sees it. Do this once, on your phone, before you send the link to anyone.
What a guest experiences
- They open your link and read the page you designed.
- They choose to attend or decline, and answer your questions if they accept.
- They accept the privacy policy — a required checkbox that links to your policy.
- They get a confirmation email containing a personal link.
- That personal link is their own page: they can change their answers, add a calendar entry, cancel, or download and erase their own data — for the whole life of the event.
No account, ever. Guests never sign up, never choose a password and never install anything. The personal link is the whole system.
Capacity and the waiting list
If you set a capacity on the Basics step, registrations beyond it are placed on the waiting list automatically, and the guest is told so honestly. When someone cancels, you can promote a waitlisted guest from the Participants tab.
Closing registration
Two ways to stop taking answers:
- Set Registration closes on the Basics step and let the date do it for you.
- Press Close registration on the Review step at any time.
Closing does not hide the page or affect anyone who has already registered — their personal links keep working.
Deleting an event
The danger zone at the bottom deletes the event permanently. Because that strands people who were planning to come, Invitatum offers to send a cancellation message first, in the event's guest language, to everyone registered, waitlisted or invited — not to those who already declined. You write the message, or tick the box saying you have already told everyone yourself. Deletion cannot be undone.
