Invite and import guests
You can share one link and let people find you, or bring your list with you and let Invitatum do the inviting. Most events do both.
The simple way: share the link
Copy the guest page address from the Review step and put it wherever your people already are — a message, an email, a printed card, a QR code. Anyone with the link can register, and they appear on your list as they answer. Nothing else is required.
Adding one guest by hand
On the Participants tab there is a box for adding a single guest — for the aunt who phoned instead of clicking, or the colleague who told you in the corridor. Type the name and email, then choose:
- Add as registered — they are on the list immediately, and a confirmation email goes out.
- Send an email invitation — they get a personal invitation and register themselves.
An invitation needs an email address; adding someone as registered does not. Duplicate addresses are refused with a clear message rather than quietly creating a second row.
Importing a list
Press Import guest list and either upload an Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file, or paste rows straight from a spreadsheet. The expected shape is one guest per line, name and email:

Choosing what an import means
Before importing, pick how the imported guests should be added:
- Invited — invitation emails go out, and each guest registers themselves and answers your questions. This is what you want for a normal invitation round.
- Registered — the guests are treated as already coming, and confirmation emails go out. Use this when you are migrating a list you have already collected elsewhere.
Rows without an email address are still added, they simply get no mail.
What the result tells you
After the import you get a plain summary: how many guests were imported, how many duplicates were ignored, how many rows were skipped because they could not be read, and how many emails were sent. Nothing is silently dropped.
Large lists take a moment. Sending several hundred invitations is not instant. Start the import and let it finish rather than reloading the page.
Personal invitation links
Every guest on your list has a personal invitation link you can copy from the Participants tab. Sending someone their own link instead of the public one means their name and email are already filled in, and their answer attaches to the row you already have — no duplicate, no typo in the address.
On the free plan an event holds one guest, so imports will stop short. Buy a single-event licence or a monthly plan before your invitation round, and nothing you have already built changes.
