Plans, licences and billing

What each plan includes, how to change it, and — the question everybody actually has — what happens if you stop paying.

The four options

  • Free — one event, one guest, five emails a day. Enough to build a complete event and walk the guest path yourself before deciding.
  • Single event — 25 € once — covers one event permanently, up to 500 guests. The right choice for a wedding.
  • Pro — 29 € a month — up to 10 active events, up to 1 000 guests each.
  • Pro Team — 49 € a month — up to 25 active events, up to 2 000 guests each, plus two team members.

Upgrading

Open your Profile and find Plan & billing. Choose a plan and a secure payment window opens. You can also buy a single-event licence directly from the Review step of the event it is for, which is usually where you notice you need one.

After paying, the page waits a few seconds and updates itself — the confirmation reaches us just after the payment window closes, so a brief "Confirming your payment…" is normal and not a problem.

VAT and who you are buying from

Payments run through Paddle, which is the merchant of record for Invitatum. In plain terms: Paddle is legally the seller, and it calculates, collects and files VAT for your country. Prices include VAT, and your receipt comes from a registered seller.

Managing or cancelling

Manage billing opens Paddle's own portal in a new tab, where you can change your card, download invoices or cancel.

Cancelling does not take effect immediately — you keep the plan until the end of the period you have already paid for, and the app shows Cancels 14 September instead of Renews 14 September. That is deliberate: you paid for the month, you get the month.

The billing portal has no way back. Paddle's portal does not link home, so Invitatum opens it in a new tab and leaves your app tab open. Switch back to it when you are done and it will refresh itself.

When coverage lapses

An event is covered if your organisation has an active paid plan, or that event has its own licence, or it fits inside the free limits. If none of those is true, this is what happens — stated plainly, because a surprise here is a bad day for everyone:

  • Guests can still register for 14 days. A grace period, so a failed card does not strand people mid-invitation. After that, the guest page says registration is temporarily closed, and reopens the instant the event is covered again.
  • You lose access to the guest details. The participants, check-in, messages and feedback tabs show a payment prompt instead of names and answers. No export, no sending, no caterer link, no imports, no new events.
  • The numbers stay visible. "212 registered, 18 waitlisted" contains no personal data, and you deserve to know what you are being asked to pay for.
  • Nothing is deleted. Everything reappears the moment the event is covered again.
  • You can still erase guest data. Purge-now stays available, because deleting data should never require a payment.
  • Guests keep every right they have. Downloading and erasing their own data works regardless of your plan. Those are their rights, not features you rent.

The cheapest way out is usually the licence. If it is one event, buy the 25 € single-event licence rather than resubscribing. It covers that event permanently and cannot lapse again.
