Collect feedback afterwards
The week after an event is when people remember what worked. It is also the week you least want to write another email — so this one sends itself.
Setting it up
Open the Feedback tab and configure the request: what it asks, and whether it should send automatically once the event has ended. Press Save settings.
With automation on, the request goes out by itself after the event's end time. You do not need to remember, and you do not need to be online.
Sending it by hand
You can also send the request yourself at any moment. Two things Invitatum will tell you before it does:
- If the event has not ended yet, it asks you to confirm. Sending a feedback request to guests who are still at the party is a memorable mistake.
- If automatic sending is on, a manual send takes its place — the automatic one will not also go out. Nobody gets asked twice.
Reading the answers
Responses collect under Responses on the same tab, appearing as guests reply. Until the first one arrives the section simply says so.
Getting useful answers
A few things that reliably work:
- Ask early. Within two or three days, while the evening is still vivid.
- Ask little. One rating and one open question outperform eight questions, because they get finished.
- Ask something you would act on. "Would you come again?" changes your next decision. "Rate the lighting 1–5" rarely does.
Feedback is also your best marketing. If you organise events for other people, the sentence a happy guest writes here is the one worth asking permission to quote.
